Faculty and Staff Commitment to Learning and Growing

We're committed to creating a supportive environment of belonging at Rumsey. In addition to attending independent school conferences such as the NAIS People of Color Conference (PoCC), our leaders, faculty, and staff are actively involved in weekly discussions about how we can be better champions of DEIJ values.

"Our world will only increase in multiculturalism and it is important for anyone in a mentor or leadership role to build their cultural competency. As we build our own competencies our students will develop stronger multicultural intelligence." - Kim Mandl

"We should look outward to increase our understanding, improve our skills, and expertise around DEIJ, but we also look inward to better understand each other and our different backgrounds. Only then will we truly be committed to the process." - Craig Ough
